The most common bulk finds are bone and pottery, but other material such as metal, slag, flint, shell, wood, small pieces of tile, brick and other building material will also be placed into the bags on site. https://www.archeox.net/finds-processing Investigators can count or weigh bulk materials such as brick, mortar, plaster, shell, and gravel in the field or lab with only a representative 10% sample retained.
