Inom BillerudKorsnäs såg arunt år 2013 att man hade vissa områden som man verkligen behövde ha forsknings- och affärskritiska teknologier varvid företaget byggde upp en stark egen kompetens inom bolaget, sk mottagarkompetens och få upp innovationsnivån i företaget, särskilt avseende produkt- och materialutveckling.

What might this word mean? I can't find anything like 'recipient competence' in English terminology.

agree  Adrian MM.: a rare instance where the Scandinavian weasel-word of 'kompetens' is not translatable as 'expertise'.
