Explanation: I can see your problem with this passage. 制御 and 操作量 are used impersonally, and so have to refer to the vehicle design constraints/specs, yet this operation has to be designed with the state and possible reaction of the driver in mind. As such 'yaw moment 操作量' could be understood a) as 'the YM handling load/ ergonomic cost' (to the driver) or b) as ' the extent of YM handling'. b) is the best choice, since the designer's purpose is to reduce the driver's risk of overcorrecting such oversteers, and if so making things worse. The solution selected is reducing vehicle steering sensitivity (if automatically adjusting it electronically to suit this kind of auto-sensed situation is now an available option) must be toned down to avoid any sudden unintended response from the vehicle. This means your use of "by" not "due to" is definitely correct. "amount" might be improved, using "extent" instead.
