Thin enlargement of the plica

Explanation:
fine= "di spessore o diametro notevolmente ridotti, sottile" (Nuovo Devoto-Oli digitale)
iperplasia="aumento delle dimensioni di un organo o di un tessuto" (Nuovo Devoto-Oli digitale)
see reference just to see the use of the word PLICA in a medical context. The link refers to the Knee Plica Syndrome. In this case we do not know if its is a syndrome and I would stick to the meaning of the expression from the medical record.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you a lot, Naomi! In the time since your replies have appeared, I have already found out that there is a plica in the knee joint. I just couldn't match it with the first word: "fine". Although I know the basic Italian (I learned it once) I don't actually translate from Italian, my working languages are German and English. But I am often asked by one translation company to help them understand obscure texts, because I have a medical degree. It's about translation into Ukrainian.

Doesn't your text specifiy which synovial plica appears slightly thickened on MRI?

As you can see in the reference, they seem to be qualified as "thickened" when abnormal

Asker: Thank you a lot. Judy. No, it's the only sentence concerning plica. No, that is the only phrase that refers to the plica.
