Фиброзное кольцо, annulus fibrosus, состоит из переплетающихся плотных соединительно-тканных пучков. Центральные пучки расположены рыхло и переходят в капсулу ядра, периферические - тесно прилежат друг к другу и внедряются в вещество краевой каёмки тел позвонков. С возрастом волокна фиброзного кольца теряют эластичность и превращаются в фиброзно-хрящевую ткань. Фиброзное кольцо образует эластический ободок межпозвонкового диска. Оно объединяет тело позвонков в единое функциональное целое и обусловливает небольшой объем движений между ними.

  -> Игорь, Вы в своем переводе описали морфологические изменения, я описал картину, видимую на МРТ, используя лексику рентгенолога, поскольку до патанатома еще очередь не дошла :-).
