corina
English translation:Parochial schoolmaster; parish schoolmaster
Explanation:

In 1659, John Wood, Esq. of Orkie, destined that property for erecting a free grammar-school in this parish, and maintaining several poor scholars. The parochial schoolmaster educates and maintains these poor boys, a liberal allowance being given him for that purpose by the patrons of Wood's Institution.

An advert in The Scotsman newspaper of 4th April 1849 gives some insight into the parish school in Eyemouth. A parochial schoolmaster was required, someone "qualified to Teach the usual Branches of Education, including Latin and Navigation".

teacher/scholar/master

Explanation:

Longman defineste master ca : (BrE old-fashioned) a male teacher, see also headmaster

agree  Ionut Sandu: Pentru "dascal" in sensul de "profesor" "schoolmaster" e OK. Pentru dascal de biserica e preferabil "cantor".

Primary teacher/primary school teacher

Explanation:
