magic spells/rituals


Explanation:
Eu acho spells um termo mais abrangente e que, neste caso, poderia condensar "trabalhos e simpatias". Se quiser manter os dois termos separados, poderia ficar "magic spells and charms [that we used to cast under the cedar tree]".
Depende, também, da natureza dos "trabalhos" - se forem relacionados à macumba, acho que cabe colocar "macumba" entre parênteses. Se forem de intenção maligna, "dark spells" ficaria melhor.
Usaria "rituals" se o contexto for mais para o lado religioso. Eu, particularmente, prefiro "rituals", mas dependerá mesmo do contexto.
