I've seen the word stroke used in this context a lot before. It may not necessarily work in the medical field to avoid confusion, but here it may work for you. It all really depends on what makes sense in terms of what exactly it is that the machine is doing 12 times a minute.

But yeah otherwise you could use 12 times per minute (if you don't want to avoid translating atto).

Asker: The problem is - it is a CE questionnaire for ANY machinery. In this case it is being filled out for a welding machine. But the question is not designed to refer to welding machines.
