German term or phrase: aufsitzend
"Passen von ruhenden, flachen Werkstücken mit aufsitzenden und einzuschiebenden Passflächen"
Ruhend is stationary I guess. (?)
I also don't know how to fit "einzuschiebenden" in here.
Passflächen = ?
Thanks in advance, I know you won't let me down;-)

Explanation:
without context quite difficult.

As far as I can see it's about fitting of stationary flat workpieces with ?? and ?? mating surfaces.

aufsitzen (in a mechanical context) = rest on

einschieben = push down or push in

but I have no idea how to accomodate this in the sentence. I imagine it might be a workpiece with the mating surface on top and further mating surfaces in a drilling/hole into which the other piece(s) get pushed?

Good luck!

Explanation:
The fitting of static, flat work pieces with fitting surfaces to be pushed in.
i.e. you don't translate aufsitzend which literally means sitting on/located on.
