I just checked the date of this parish meeting, which was held on Wednesday, July 3, 1878. Could they be saying: "After that, it was decided that school should be held for another week after the one we're in" i.e. after this week?

Like I said, there is no context for this. The preceding sentence involves a totally different topic: “Darauf wurde für gut erachtet da die Trustees über das ganze Gemeindegut gesetzt wären, daß er dabei bleiben thäte und 2tens wurde vom Herm. Wilken von einigen behauptet daß er zu den Ordfellaus [=Oddfellows] gehören thäte, welches letzterer jedoch für unwahr erklärte, so wurde bestimmt daß die 3 Trustees bleiben sollten.”
