Generally speaking, 'sheet piling' would be one possible translation of this (corrected!) source term — but it is difficult to see how that could really apply here: it is usually heavy-duty metal and possibly driven into the ground (hence piling) — aka 'camp shedding'. here, this sounds on the face of it more like some kind of fencing panels, and it appears they intended them to be isolated from 'ground' ('earth'), which would be rather difficult with 'sheet piling'! I am at a los to really understand what they are driving at; I think this must be some more specific use of the term in a fencing context. Unless they are simply trying to indicate the general form it takes... If there is nothing in your wider context to make it clear, and unless you can find out more from your own researches, the only really safe solution is to "ask the customer" — or at least flag it up as a terminology query. |
