Yes Basit it's good idea to choose a suitable translation keeping the transliteration within brackets, atleast for first time in the begining. We all love to promote our language but it is not our functional speciality. To me, being a translator, our primary focus should be on conveying the message keeping in view the target audience of the subject matter. Regarding the translation; I can recomend you your own suggestion as it seems more appropriate. You may come across other related terms like Windows 2000, Floppy disk, CD, CD ROM, USB, Antivirus etc. Keeping in view the whole situation of your subject matter, you may adopt a suitable strategy. Your proposed method may not work here again; for example, you'll have to write Windows 2000 as "Khirkhi do hazar". What do you think? So you'll have to use the same method throughout the translation; either of transliteration alone or translation along with transliteration within brackets. Best of luck. |
