Maquetas (experimentales) Explanation: Evidentemente "skunk works" resulta problemático de traducir, pero allá va la idea que, creo, ya que provengo del sector, quiere reflejar ese término. En primer lugar "skunk" significa "mofeta", es decir, un animal que despide un olor apestoso. Luego la idea que subyace es de "trabajos que huelen mal" "complicados", "experimentales", "novedosos". Es por ello, por lo que estos trabjos se encuentra no sólo en Lockheed. Lockheed hace "maquetas" de aviones "experimentales" como el famoso "Stealth" (Furtivo) de la Guerra del Golfo. ¿Qué es "Skunk Works"?. Si consultas la primera referencia verás lo siguiente: "Chief Engineer of Lockheed Martin, Clarence "Kelly" Johnson started the Skunk Works in 1943, after designing two of the most famous commercial airliners in the world, the Lockheed Electra and Constellation. The Skunk Works's official name is "Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program." Skunk Works is listed in the Random House Dictionary: "Often a secret experimental division, laboratory or project for producing innovative design or products in the computer or aerospace field." The idea of the Skunk Works was to stay away from bureaucratic management, enabling the engineers to work quickly and efficiently with a minimum of corporate oversight. It requires a great deal of faith in its leader by corporation executives, who generally have no idea what is going on in there. The Skunk Works has since been emulated by Ford Motor Co., McDonnell Douglas, and many others as a means for developing products quickly cheaply, and effectively. Resumiendo: "maquetas" "maquetas experimentales" creo que reflejaría bastante bien la idea que hay detrás. Grupo de expertos/euipo de sabios Explanation: Perdona, se me olvidó decirte que "Skunk work" no sólo es el resultado del trabajo sino que también se refiere al propio "equipo de trabajo". En palabras de un pionero: "The Skunk Works is a concentration of a few good people solving problems far in advance - and at a fraction of the cost - by applying the simplest, most straightforward methods possible to develop and produce new products." - C.
