English term or phrase: front slope
Hi, I'm having trouble translating this word into Norwegian.

"It is located next to the front slopes"

It's a text about hotels. Anyone?

hovedbakkene
Explanation:
'it is located next to the front slopes' (slopes is plural). I am a skiier, have skiied 6 different counties, including many areas of Norway when I lived there. We always referred to carparks 'like ved hovedbakkene' (the front slopes being the main point of entry for the rest of the ski runs).

hovedbakken

Explanation:
If this is ski field related, my guess would be "hovedbakken", as in "hotelet ligger like ved hovedbakken".

agree  Gunnar Sommerfeldt: Agree. I've heard this term several times as well. Asker; as Anne has said in remarked in the discussion, this is singular form, as per requested term.

de første bakkene

Explanation:
In most ski resorts, it's about getting into the lift and slope system, as in ski in/ski out. In Trysil, the Radisson offers true ski in, ski out, despite being located a bit away from what some might call the main slopes. So you ski down the first slope, and catch the lift that takes you into the system of 30 other lifts and 68 other slopes. And trust me - it is plural, as no resort on the planet would have just one.
