L'avant pied / les tissus mous plantaires Explanation: There are a couple of possibilities as there doesn't seem to be an exact term for it. I've put these two possibilities which were mentionned in this article. The first one would be more suited if you're just using the ball of the foot as a location, but if you are referring to the "coussinets" in particular, then tissus mous plantaires might be better? In a more common context I've always heard it called la plante du pied, but technically speaking thats probably too vague.
