feeling his days are numbered Explanation: Again, no exact idiom. Danish is originally "sidde løst i sadlen" (http://ordnet.dk/ddo/ordbog?query=sidde&search=Søg) How about something along the lines of: "The Financial Director must be feeling his days are numbered." ? I also thought of "shaking in his boots" but that's a bit strong in the context. |
