Business registration number Explanation: This is not the official translation, but that's what I usually put - to provide a bit of context. The abbreviation stands for Centrale Virksomhedsregister. They just call it 'CVR number' on their homepage. Reference: http://www.cvr.dk/english/index.html |

Business Identity Code (Business ID) / VAT Number Explanation: Alternatively it could be called 'Business Identity Code' or merely 'Business ID' as officially used by the Finnish authorities in English. Like in Denmark the acronym has changed in Finland [from previously being LY/LY-tunnus] to merely 'Y' or 'Y-tunnus' (short for Yritys- ja yhteisötunnus)while in the country's second language, Swedish the official abbreviation is now 'FO-nummer' (short for Företags- och organisationsnummer). By using the Y/FO-number, i.e. 1234567-8 and adding the country code in capitals (omitting the stroke at the end of the number) you produce the VAT-Number used in trade within EU, i.e. FI 12345678. For official translations by the Finnish authorities see also the link, incl. VAT number Explanation: CVR er det, der tidligere hed SEnummer - altså virksomhedens momsnummer. Både den gamle og nye betegnelse oversættes til VAT number. venlig hilsen Esben Slot Sørensen |
