exentromat Explanation: It's difficult to offer any positive evidence, since, as you say, there is nothing online for "excentromat". However, "exentromat" does exist and I think there's a pretty strong change that this is what it refers to. It's a registered trade name of a German company, Konrad Armaturentechnik GmbH (formerly Alfred Konrad Maschinenfabrik GmbH), and it's a type of industrial valve developed in the 1960s. Here's their description: "History of the EXENTROMAT® - Industrial Valves The 1960s saw the development of an innovative valve design. A proper metal-to-metal sealing became possible for the first time – thanks to a double eccentric butterfly arrangement which also came with an improved sealing geometry. And it is with this high-quality welded design that customized Konrad valves have earned a great reputation worldwide under the registered trademark of EXENTROMAT®. Our industrial valves are used wherever demanding operating parameters are concerned or particularly stringent safety requirements are applied. Owing to our deep-rooted commitment towards quality and our decade-long experience we can assure excellent leak-tightness, technical functionality and an extraordinarily long service life of our products." http://www.konrad-armaturen.de/eng/unternehmen.html -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 mins (2018-05-17 09:08:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "Pretty strong change" in line 2 above is a typo for "pretty strong chance". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 mins (2018-05-17 09:09:11 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Other Google results associated the name specifically with butterfly valves. |
