English term or phrase: Close (apagar o cerrar?)
There are many phrases where the word "close" is used but essentially my question is if CLOSE can mean "APAGAR" instead of "CERRAR". As a generator wont actually open. Here are a couple of examples.

Many thanks!!!

The First-On logic ensures that two generators wont close to the paralleling bus simultaneously.
The controller sends signals to a motor-operated breaker to open and close.

Energizar

Explanation:
When you are talking about connecting or disconnecting an electric circuit (opening or closing a switch), you are normally referring to the state in which an electric current is allowed to flow through a circuit or not. In this context, in Spanish, for technical purposes is customary to say "energizar" or "desenergizar"
