clear/uv only 未经处理的/仅滤紫外的 Explanation: 'clear' here means 'untreated'(未经处理的) - Please refer to the references below. Also note, translating it as '透明的' is not appropriate, as treated/filtering IOLs can still be transparent (透明的). Therefore, the most accurate translation here should be 未经处理的. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 hrs (2010-02-17 16:28:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 未经处理的/仅滤紫外(光/线)的 Example sentence(s):

clear/uv only 不滤可见光/仅滤紫外 Explanation: clear - Does not filter any visible light, i.e. the light of wavelengths in the visible range of human eyes uv only - Only filters ultra-violet light -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 hrs (2010-02-18 01:39:17 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This dumb poster mentions 可见光 because both 1. and 2. specifically refer to blue-light and violet-light filtering: "1. Blue-light filtering 2. Violet-light filtering". Needless to say, both lights above are visible by human eyes. Logically, "3. Clear/UV only" means "clear with respect to visible lights but only filters out the invisible UV light". The dumb poster's post may really not be as dumb as it looks like. |
