Explanation:
I think the important here is not the word "properties", which is used to indicate the locations where the system has been installed, but the references themselves, to show the kinds of places where it is already being used.

It would be "referências de clientes" if it were a matter of credibility; viz. WHO bought it, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Apparently they want to show the kinds of places (WHERE) it is used.

Regarding the other suggestion, I don't think they are recommending the properties, but noting that the fact that this system is installed in such propertties implicitly recommends it (the system) for installation in similar ones.

Eu também acho que a questão aí não é de referências para as propriedades, mas sim que as propriedades servem de referência para algo. No contexto geral eu traduziria mais ou menos assim:
