| | | Éva MYGARDON France Local time: 04:36 English to French + ...

Hello. I apologize for answering in English, but unfortunately French is a language I do not master at all! See more Hello. I apologize for answering in English, but unfortunately French is a language I do not master at all! I'm writing only because I saw that there was very little interaction, and maybe I can help a bit more. Most of my quotes are based on a price per finished minute. But the rates vary widely, as they depend on the type of project. Here are the questions I usually ask before I submit a quote: 1. How will the voice-over audio be used? To know if I must charge the rights for my voice. 2. How long is it? To calculate the studio time required to record I'll need to know the word count and the intended duration of the final content. 3. How the audio should be edited and delivered? To know if I need external help, etc. 4. What kind of language is used, technical, medical, more general? 5. How the script should be read? Time-sync, lip-sync, or wild? All these will impact the time it takes to produce the voice-over. An average eLearning course, for example, is 20.000 words (approx. 2 hours of finished audio). ELearning content is frequently charged per word, but mostly, I try to agree on a fixed project rate. Don't forget to quote the: - BSF (Basic Studio Fee) It depends on the answer to questions 2, 3, 4, and 5. - Studio (Producer and studio time per hour) If it's not your studio. - Post (editing, cleaning, mixing time per hour) - Equipment you bought. Of course, I mean a professional service, not a laptop recording. For this, quality equipment is required. I wish you all the best! ▲ Collapse | |
