Trados Studio 2021 crashes when creating new local project

I just updated Trados Studio to Version Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - 16.1.8.4404
When creating a "new local project" the pop up window opens without displaying the target language and the whole program crashes.
I already changed the default project templates from the older to the newer version. Additionally I also conducted the repair process for Trados Studio.
What else can I do to repair this issue and use the program properly??

I suggest that you post your question at their community because they allegedly don't read or use any other public forums for communication. The more complaints they get there, the more chances they fix it soon.

I experience a similar problem, not relating to any new project, but just out of the blue. At its early days, SDL Trados Studio 2021 used to crash 5 to 10 times a day. Then, they seemed to have fixed something, I don't know, but the problem had gone. However, after their recent update to the latest version 16.1.8.4404, it crashes again.
