Hello all, I used to have this kind of a program, but the CD got damaged and now I am on the look out for a suitable tool, using which one could stripe the audio (MPEGII or so) from Video (.AVI DVD type) files. I shall be most obliged for all hints and help. Best regards, Brandis | | | | Brandis (X) Local time: 06:51 English to German + ... TOPIC STARTER I know this tool | Sep 11, 2005 |
Wojciech Froelich wrote: http://www.virtualdub.org/
But it doesn´t do what I need. I am in search of a tool using which the audio part can be separated for trancription (later translation). Typically the file has multiple formats .avi, MPEG II and IV , DVD etc., .mov also. These are the file formats I can choose from. The pre-requisite to use this tool is to have an audio file and a video file. Best regards, Brandis | | | Here are some useful tools ... | Sep 12, 2005 |
Hi Brandis, this link http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Best/audio-capturer.html gives you a choice of tools that either record sound from the audio devices of your machine or actually claim to strip the audio content (DVD audio to CD). Hope this helps. mp

But this is not really my business. I used it once (and it did the job) | | | Olaf (X) Local time: 06:51 English to German Try PVAStrumento (freeware) | Sep 12, 2005 |
You can use PVAStrumento to demux mpeg2 files. It splits up mpeg2 files into separate video and audio files. http://www.offeryn.de/dv.htm#pvas | | | Brandis (X) Local time: 06:51 English to German + ... TOPIC STARTER shall try this | Sep 12, 2005 |
you mean it actually separates full audio contenct for example from a movie video and finally the video will not have any audio. What i mean is first step load the file into this tool and choose to extract all audio content, the remainder being voice/soundless video, where the processed dubbed or so audio can be pressed on it!!!? That would be great. Infact I have just now tried a tool OSS Audio extractor and extracted the audio part fully, but the video still contains the original audio content.Best regards, Brandis | | | Olaf (X) Local time: 06:51 English to German
Yes, if you process an MPEG2 file, the tool will create two separate files with the extensions: .mpa: contains only the sound .mpv: contains only the video without sound HTH, Olaf
