I graduated with a 5 years degree in Communication Science at the Bologna University and I have specialized in Art history with a 3 years degree (and during that period I worked for 5 months in an art gallery in Dublin through the Leonard project). I also earned a MA degree in Museum studies at the Winchester School of Art (Southampton University, UK).
I have been working in publishing since 2000. From 2000 to 2008 I was employed as an editor for publishing services companies located in Bologna (Art Servizi editoriali, Libra and studio GradoZero), while since 2009 I have been working free lance as a translator and editor. I have experience in translating fiction and non-fiction texts (I translated, among the others, art, architecture, photography and kitchen books, as well as touristic guides).
In 2009 I won the first edition of the literary competition "Dromos" for new literary translators, (http://concorsodromos.wordpress.com/i-vincitori-della-prima-edizione), organized by Raffaelli publishing house.
I know well the softwares Adobe Photoshop, InDesing and QuarkXPress, and I work well as much on Mac than PC.
Among my extra work interests there is art (in particular contemporary art and photography), cinema, enology and music. |
