Bio

I am a FR>EN translator based in Tucson, Arizona, United States.

I am trained in sociological and anthropological research through a Bachelor's of Arts and Sciences at Lewis & Clark College, where I completed 400-level French Studies coursework and studied abroad at the Baobab Center in Dakar, Senegal with a capstone research paper on ecotourism in Palmarin, Senegal.

I worked as a volunteer translator for the France-based Low-tech Lab for one year in 2021 and was certified in DELF B2 in July 2022. In 2023 I completed 2 courses in translation studies offered by Cardiff University and Nanjing University and completed independent study of Thinking French Translation by Hervey and Higgins.

I have translated subtitles for Ted Talks since April 2023, focusing on ecology, sociology, and gastronomy.

I have 4 years of experience working in the preparation, service, and transportation of organic, artisan-made, and health food and five years experience in human services as a childcare professional.
