This error is associated with an incorrect indication about the maximum magnetic field the patient can undergo when scanned under an MRI. It was wrongly indicated that the patient could undergo a maximum of 7 Tesla when the correct indication is a maximum of 3 Tesla. (COMPANY NAME) products have been tested to be MR Conditional to 1.5 and 3 Tesla MRIs, which are the magnetic fields commonly available for MRIs in Radiological centers around the world.
The 7 Tesla MRIs availability is very limited, mostly to investigation centers; and even if they are available in Radiological Centers they are designed for scanning head and extremities and not the torso since they lack a body coil. Thus, is it highly unlikely -if not impossible- that a patient implanted with (BRAND NAME) implants can undergo a scan over 3 Tesla, or in this case, a 7 Tesla scan. There is no significant risk to patients.

Deze fout heeft te maken met een incorrecte aanduiding van de maximale magnetische veldsterkte waaraan een patiënt mag worden blootgesteld bij een MRI-scan. Er staat ten onrechte vermeld dat een patiënt mag worden blootgesteld aan een maximale veldsterkte van 7 Tesla, terwijl de correcte maximale veldsterkte 3 Tesla is. De producten van (FIRMANAAM) zijn getest en zijn MRI-conditional (d.w.z. er gelden bepaalde voorwaarden) bij blootstelling aan een 1,5 of 3 Tesla MRI-apparaat. Dit zijn de magnetische veldsterktes die algemeen worden gebruikt bij MRI's in radiologische centra over de hele wereld.
MRI-systemen van 7 Tesla staan slechts op een zeer beperkt aantal plaatsen, met name in onderzoekscentra; als ze al in een radiologisch centrum staan, zijn ze bedoeld voor het scannen van het hoofd en de extremiteiten en niet voor de romp, aangezien er geen bodyspoel bijgeleverd wordt. Het is dus hoogst onwaarschijnlijk, zo niet onmogelijk, dat een patiënt met een implantaat van (MERKNAAM) ooit een scan zal ondergaan waarbij de veldsterkte hoger is dan 3 Tesla, in dit geval dus 7 Tesla. Source text - English My grandchildren love to go into our loft. And when Lily (aged five) and I were up there the other day, she discovered an old box filled with Valentine’s Day cards that Dianne and I had sent to each other when we were teenagers.
(We were aged thirteen on our first date!)
Some have the letters ‘SWALK’ scrawled on the envelope – a little acronym that first appeared on letters sent home in the Second World War – ‘Sealed with a loving kiss’. Another had
‘BOLTOP’ written on it – ‘Better on lips than on paper’!
A five-year-old finger traced the shape of the red heart on one card and asked,
“Was Nandi your girlfriend, Pops?”
“She still is!” I say.
Little eyes grew wide.
Translation - Dutch Mijn kleinkinderen struinen graag op onze zolder rond. Op een dag stuitte Lily (vijf jaar) op een doos met oude valentijnskaarten, die Dianne en ik elkaar hadden gestuurd toen we tieners waren. (We hadden al ons eerste afspraakje toen we nog maar dertien waren!) Op sommige enveloppen waren de letters ‘SWALK’ gekrabbeld, een acroniem dat in de Tweede Wereldoorlog vaak op brieven aan het thuisfront stond: ‘Stuur je Weer Allerliefste Kusjes’. Op een andere stond: ‘BOLTOP’, ‘Beter één Op je Lippen dan Tien Op Papier’!
Lily trok met haar vingertje het rode hartje op een van de kaarten over en vroeg: ‘Was oma je liefje, opa?’
‘Dat is ze nog steeds!’ antwoordde ik.

Source text - English How many hours have I spent in the waiting room of a doctor’s office over the past thirteen years? I’ve lost count. During that time, I’ve endured an unending series of muscle biopsies, MRIs, blood tests, and various other forms of poking, probing, and prodding.
And still no diagnosis I can depend on.
When I was in high school, my best friend, Patrick Gray, used
to come with me to a lot of my appointments, but the distance between his home in Idaho and mine in Southern California makes that a little difficult now. Since moving to San Diego, I’ve often sat here alone, waiting for answers. Today, I’m grateful that my wife, Kirstin, is able to be with me.
The door leading back to the exam rooms opens, and Jennifer, my doctor’s medical assistant, surveys the busy waiting room.
We make eye contact, and even though she knows Kirstin and me well, she goes through the formality of calling my name.
Translation - Dutch Hoeveel uur heb ik de afgelopen dertien jaar al in de wachtkamer van een dokter doorgebracht? Ik ben de tel kwijtgeraakt. In die tijd heb ik een oneindige reeks spierbiopsieën, MRI’s en bloedtesten ondergaan, en allerlei andere vormen van prikken, peuteren en porren. En nog steeds geen diagnose waar ik iets mee kan.
Toen ik nog op de middelbare school zat ging mijn beste vriend Patrick Gray vaak mee naar mijn afspraken, maar de afstand tussen zijn woonplaats in Idaho en de mijne in Zuid-Californië maakt dat nu een beetje moeilijk. Sinds ik naar San Diego ben verhuisd heb ik hier al veel in mijn eentje gezeten, wachtend op antwoorden. Ik ben blij dat vandaag mijn vrouw Kirstin bij me kan zijn.
De deur die naar de onderzoekskamers leidt gaat open en Jennifer, de doktersassistente, kijkt de drukke wachtkamer rond. We maken oogcontact en hoewel ze Kirstin en mij goed kent kiest ze voor de formaliteit van het roepen van mijn naam.
