My name is Frank Fischer and I've been working as a translator between English, German and Spanish since 2010.
My experience comprises a wide variety of texts, ranging from scientific articles published in journals to applications for EU subsidies to personal letters.
How can I possibly think that I'm capable of delivering quality work in three languages?
I'm a native German speaker and I hold a German university degree (Magister Artium) in Political Science, Law and Computer Science.
At the age of ten I started receiving excellent English classes at school and later went on to live in the USA for one year where I graduated from High School. "Achieve a second native language", the exchange program said. And so I did. I've been using English on a daily basis ever since and also passed the Cambridge Proficiency Exam with the grade "A".
My second foreign language while in school in Germany was Spanish. The ERASMUS exchange program gave me the opportunity for a year at a Spanish university where we also received eight hours of Spanish lessons during all of nine months. This allowed me to get as close to a third native language as one gets (D.E.L.E. Superior). After finishing university in Germany I moved to Spain where I added a Masters degree in Administrative Law and where I´ve been living and working for just about ten years now.
Seeing my clients pleased with the results of my translations was what motivated me to join ProZ.com in order to be able to offer my work to a wider audience. I'd be more than happy to talk to you about the details of your projects.
