English to French: Turkey receives USD 12.7 billion FDI in 2013 Detailed field: Business/Commerce (general)
Source text - English Foreign direct investments (FDI) into Turkey stood at USD 12.686 billion in 2013, according to data released by the Ministry of Economy.
Making up the total, the capital inflow topped USD 10.1 billion while real estate purchases by foreigners exceeded USD 3 billion.
The overall amount experienced a drop of 4 percent when compared with 2012.
Accounting for 52 percent of the total, the EU remained Turkey’s principal source of foreign investment last year while, at the sector level, the country received USD 3.7 billion of cash inflow through financial intermediaries, followed by the USD 2.5 billion attracted by its booming energy sector.
Last year saw 2,960 company establishments by foreigners, taking the total number of foreign-owned or partnered companies to nearly 37,000.
Germans constitute the largest group of foreign business owners in Turkey with over 5600 companies, followed by Britons with 2600 companies as of the end of 2013.
The majority of foreign-funded companies, nearly 22,000, are operating in Istanbul.

Constituant le montant total, le flux de capitaux a dépassé 10,1 milliards de dollars US tandis que les achats immobiliers par des étrangers ont dépassé 3 milliards de dollars US.
Toutefois, le montant global a connu une baisse de 4 pour cent par rapport à 2012.
Représentant 52 pour cent du total, l'UE est restée la première source d'investissements étrangers de la Turquie l'année dernière, alors qu’au niveau sectoriel, le pays a enregistré 3,7 milliards de dollars US de rentrées de fonds par des intermédiaires financiers, suivi par 2,5 milliards de dollars US engrangés par son secteur de l’énergie en plein essor.
L'année dernière, 2 960 entreprises étrangères se sont établies en Turquie, portant le nombre total d'entreprises à capitaux étrangers ou en partenariat à près de 37 000.
Avec plus de 5 600 entreprises, les Allemands représentent le plus grand groupe de propriétaires d'entreprises étrangères en Turquie, suivis par les Britanniques dont le nombre d’entreprises se chiffre à 2 600 à la fin de 2013.
La plupart des entreprises à capitaux étrangers, environ 22 000, opèrent à Istanbul.
