@ Remigiusz Drewniak KONTYNENT Personally, I do not think it has anything to do with a drink, rum or otherwise. The fact of the matter is regardless of what may be used in the Dominican Republic, the lady who authored the letter is COLOMBIAN, according to your context, and the very little context that you have provided. Unless, you can post additional context to indicate that "balla" (a word that does not exist) or "vaya(s)" means a drink, I cannot agree with the drink at all! "Papi no te vayas" means "Daddy, don't go!" simply put.

It results that it obviously IS this drink, and maybe she is Dominican or her friend is and yes, she is not writing correct Spanish, and maybe lacks some education.

@ Phoenix Nor have I and I've just asked by Colombian cousin (yes my family are Colombians from Cali) and she has never heard the term "balla" or "vayas" or whatever meaning a type of rum either. Regards.

@ Asker I'm a native of Colombia and I've never heard such thing but the only thing I can say is that there is a horrendous misspelling of the word "vayas". In slang it would translate "Baby, (please) don't go".

Papi No Te Vayas It's a type of alcohol usually made with rum, popular in the Caribbean and South America - personal experience (Dominican wife and extended stays in the DR).

I have no real idea what this is trying to say! I understand it is slang, possibly "vaya" https://www.diccionariodedudas.com/vaya-valla-baya-o-balla/. (The word "balla" does not exist).

Ingredientes
- 1 botella de Ron Blanco (cualquier marca)
- Jugo concentrado de piña u otra fruta que desees
- 1 litro Zoda sin sabor
- hielo
Preparación
Primero tomas yn envase y vacias la botella de ron y luego le vas echando el jugo a tu gusto (el jugo debe ser concentrado)la mezcla debe quedar bien dulce y que se le sienta el ron, recuerda que lleva soda.
Tomas una copa para jugo, previamente fría del refrigerador, lo llenas hasta la mitad de hielo, luego le hechas 2 medidas del de ron previamente mezclado con el jugo y lo mueves y por ultimo le echas la zoda a tu gusto y lo meneas.

Consejos
Para la mezcla del jugo y el ron deben ser en cantidades iguales.
Observaciones
El coste es en euros y según el nivel de vida español
Un dolar vale la mitad de un Euro aproximadamente.
