It's talking about a linen garment; I'm unsure whether they're referring to a pencil sketch that serves as the inspiration for the weave, or referring symbolically to the grid of the linen on the actual garment as resembling a pencil drawing/sketch. Here's the passage, for a children's clothing website:

Here's what I have so far:
"Linen is not simply striped: when you look at it close up, you can't miss the irregularity of the pattern, the difference between one strip and another. This is a print made from a drawing made by hand with great care and attention: a mark of uniqueness and authenticity."
