provisional instalment or advance payment

These terms are listed in the Robert & Collins du Management, but there are others floating around that can be used - such as "instalment on account", which was given by Deriche and can also be found on Eurodicautum.

It refers to those lovely forms we get 3 times a year from the French tax authorities asking us to pay a provisional instalment towards our income tax!
