the idea is that you can take your goods to the shop and exchange them for something in the shop or just put them up for sale but in this case you would probably exchange them for something in the shop

Note from asker:
Thank you for your answer! In this case, the shop purchases the goods and put it up for sale. Can "trade" be used? |

: As described in the context, it doesn't look like consignment so 'trade' would be ok.

: wouldn't that mean just "offering for sale" and not purely and simply effectively selling it to a buyer?

English term (edited):
You can trade your goods at xxx shop
You can sell your goods to the xxx shop
with the additional explanation, it's simply that!

The fact that the shop will resell them doesn't change anything to your transaction with the shop - they are simply your buyer.

Discussion
There are also shops that would take your goods and display them for sale - but your goods stay in your ownership until sold!
If someone buys them you get a proportion of the sale price, if no one wants them after some time you have to or you can take them back.
Also, you can "trade your goods" COULD also mean you can barter your goods!
Without the additional explanation "In this case, the shop purchases the goods and put it up for sale" it would be VERY far from obvious!
