The term sometimes means purposeful, determined, and thus ´effective´, or dedicated, but it suggests to me an element of grouping customers and targeting each segment specifically.

Differentiated customer service.
Maybe even individual service? Though individual service is probably a long shot without more detailed context.

Officially at least, it must be to the customer's advantage ... But if it avoids wasted effort and means satisfied customers, well, that can´t be bad for the bank either. :-)

In answer to your note - I might just call it targeted... a sort of cover-all that is semantically related to the source.

Maybe it is a kind of build-up: Target - define your target into segments - to get satisfied customers?
But it is best not to go too far with the mind-reading.

When you start analysing it, I suspect it is not that clear in Danish either.
The most important thing is probably that it has to sound good, however you define that!

On the other hand, I see what you mean - it just might go back to the more general meaning of the word: single-minded, dedicated, ´we concentrate on what you need´ kind of service.
