Discussion

Mina Fayek Oct 8, 2019:
Are the mentioned sentences related to each other? Are the three mentioned sentences related? There is no punctuation in two of them, which makes me wonder if they're originally related in the original context or cut off!
Ludina Sallam Oct 8, 2019:
Here they want to get rid of something, so they say "engineer it out."

I think this is what they mean.
Ludina Sallam Oct 8, 2019:
I'm not sure what they mean exactly, but as a verb, something can be "engineered" i.e. created, using technology or manufacturing techniques, to achieve a desired product or result. So here they may want to alter something, or create something, so that a particular part or function of an object or thing is no longer in existence, or no longer part of the original object or thing.

Example: I would like to have a special garage door created, that is not normally available. The carpenter tells me he can engineer it.

اوجد حلاً/طريقة لإزالتها

V. Engineer: يُعد/يُخَطِّط

It surely would not be translated literally as: "يُعد/يُخَطِّط", so my suggestion would be: اوجد حلاً/طريقة لإزالتها
Example sentence:

The more restrictive economic environment comes as part of China's effort to engineer a gradual slowdown of its economic boom.

That is, to elaborate on how to engineer artificial systems with desirable emergent properties.
