English term
I think it's far too formal for my, my way of being
Talking with people about marriage
-----------------------------------------
Man: Boring, ha, ha, ha. The church is hot. Nobody wants
to be in the wedding. Receptions are always fun. Everybody gets together. They dance, have a good time.
Woman: It was a nice wedding. It was beautiful; sun was shining and we got married at the justice of the peace.
Man: I don't like weddings. I don't think it's ...
I think it's far too formal for my, my way of being.
Man: I love weddings, particularly Italian weddings.

What does "I think it's far too formal for my, my way of being" mean?

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

I would prefer something more informal.

: it's speech so no problem with the 2 "my". Not about the type of wedding. This man is unlikely to get married at all since marriage doesn't suit his lifestyle

What is a relaxed wedding?
A memorable big day, super-stunning wedding décor, and a festive reception don't have to come with all of the formality of a traditional black-tie wedding. ... Instead, casual weddings put the emphasis on fun and allow for couples to express their laid-back style.
