French term

exercer exigibilité

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Analysis by French auditors of the demise over several years of a French company (XXX) in a multinational group centred in the US. QQQ here is a "real" US company, RRR is a US holding company and YYY is a sort of dummy French company set up to hold property and rent it back to XXX at high prices.

O what a tangled web we weave! @Asker, you've provided good context, but could you please clarify exactly who owns who in this alphabet soup? So that we can properly understand who is backing who and who has the right to demand payment from who for what.

Selected

if YYY comes to exercice their right to demand (re)payment

"exigibilité" refers only to the right to demand (re)payment of what is due.

"enforcement" would happen only if the debtor doesn't pay and courts get involved to force the debtor to pay.
Note from asker:
Yes, again, convincing and fits the context. Thanks.

disagree Daryo : these are all only illustrations for your presumed meaning - there is no "enforcement" in this ST, ONLY a "demand for payment"

disagree AllegroTrans : No enforcement at the stage of a demand (calling-in of a liability), that would only follow if the demand is unesuccessful
