"Elle devra respecter ... les dimensions et cote des habillages"

My understanding of this and provisional translation is "the manufacturing and assembly dimensions". However, I should appreciate either confirmation or correction.

it's all about the dimensions of the assembled cladding.

Not sure how to say it English, but I think that here "dimensions et cote des habillages" means:

"dimensions" = what is being measured - for example the height and width of the opening for a window

"une cote" = the numerical value of "une dimension"

@Tony Thanks, I'd come to the same conclusion, i.e. that both the French concepts are included in the English "dimensions". However, it's nice to have that confirmed.

@ Asker (2) Do note also that soemtimes (but not here) 'cote' can specifically refer to a reference above a datum, soemtimes literally an altitude (above sea-level), or if not, above some local ground datum.

@ Asker In essence, I don't think we distinguish between them in EN — 'dimension' has the sense as in 2D, 3D etc., and in other contexts might be 'grandeur' in FR (for which of course we also use 'dimension' in EN — though also, for some things, 'magnitude'. For a dimension, the position / orientation of it may be specified, as in your ref., but as it is per se directionless, it is not a vector.
'cote' really is the numerical value of a dimension — without is being necessary specify the positional element.
I think it's important not to over-think this — just condense both terms to 'dimensions', and if there is ever a time when they are specifically opposed, then you might need to think again...

Thanks. However, see my Discussion note, the refs I found lead me to think that this doesn't include tolerances. Possibly, if the dimensions are what are being "cotisé", then just "dimensions" on its own might do in English?
