Activities-specific Balance Confidence (ABC) Scale - 16 items

Subjects who do not participate in a given activity should be instructed to imagine how confident they would be if the activity were required.
Five items in the ABC (#2, #9, #11, #14, #15) address a particular activity and its opposite (e.g., walking up or down a ramp).
Given that subjects may have less confidence in their balance in one of the two scenarios, encourage them to use the activity in which they have the least balance confidence as the basis for rating.
The ABC score is derived by summing the percentages for all items (0-1600) and dividing that number by 16.
