Hi all,
I'm looking to see if anyone knows of a standard/succinct translation of this article title.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

French term (edited):
Garantie de l\'Engagement du Reassureur
reinsurer's guarantee
A guarantee is a commitment, so this is all you need to say in English

: I think you need to say what is being guaranteed (and the correct word may be warrantied); your answer is too vague

I can only raise one single Google hit for this term on p108 of this document: https://issuu.com/infopro/docs/reassurance_issuu
This suggests that the combination of terms in this expression might not be that common in French, although I suspect the publisher is sufficiently reliable. It looks as though it is simply not a set term in French and that you may have to go for a composite solution in English, considering "garantie" and "engagement du réassureur" separately. "Guarantee" may mean "warranty" here, it may mean "guarantee". That may turn out to be the tricky bit. If Google is anything to go by, there are a fair number of sources with sentences containing all terms in the context of insurance/reinsurance.
