I'm actually looking for an English-Spanish translation but the format doesn't allow me to look for it that way round. I'm translating an index for a book on Mexican art and in the index I have come across the term 'hail maker'. I have searched extensively on Google but have only found videos related to a kind of storm, which doesn't make any sense in this art or handicraft context, and just one entry, from a FB page, showing a kind of box or cube with illustrations on the outside. I have no idea if this is what the term in my translation refers to, it could be, it is related to art or handicrafts, but it is just one entry among thousands. Secondly, if it is the object referred to in the original text, I have no idea what it might be referred to in Spanish. A puzzle.

Comment: "The place I was translating for gave me 'hombre que hace caer granizo'. In theory they should know, but given that it is all about art and artefacts I suspect that this is the best answer. "

Granicero
Not sure how it fits into the context but seems the most likely answer.

Weather conditions can be spectacular out here at times, but this is unbelievable even by Mexico standards.
