Franchigia is used for no charge operations "in franchigia" is duty free. Of course this seems a bit of a contradiction, "cost of free of charge/no fee/ exempt from charges transactions.
I think any of these will do. UK banks used to charge on all movements and then made everything free in the 90s if you were in credit, so there is no UK equivalent.

agree Shabelula : it makes perfect sense. An operazione in franchigia means that ONE PART is exempt. The insurance "franchigia" is the part of a whole on which nothing is paid or nothing is due
