removable denture being gently passed over. Well
that’s not strictly true. ***Wrap around bars*** and
***all-on-four*** dentures are seeing continued usage
but their hard and soft tissue supported cousins
have not seen the same sort of extensive
makeover."

Im zu übersetzenden Text geht es um abnehmbare Teilprothesen (Gebiss, Zahnersatz).
Diese werden nun mit "Wrap around bars and all-on-four dentures" verglichen.

"cousins" sind einfach die "armen Verwandten", also eine poetische Umschreibung
des betrachteten Zahnersatzes.

"digital dentistry" = digitale Zahnheilkunde (digital i.S.v. digitalisiert (auf dem Rechner))
