IMHO, the Spanish sentence (... incluir ese conocimiento adquirido en el cuerpo de la Historia) doesn't really sound good in English, perhaps because you need to repeat "knowledge", but it is a common construction. Needs tweaking.

Maybe something with "ontology"? "A body of knowledge is the accepted ontology for a specific domain."
