Japanese term

(事)

Japanese to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
I know the meaning of 事 in general.

Why is it given within brackets? Where do you normally come across such a thing?

Can anyone explain me?

Yes, there has to be more to know what it is...
It could mean 事故、事案、事項、事典、事業、事件・・・
Kurt Hammond Dec 17, 2013:
Context? The meaning could vary a bit depending on context. Is there any?
