Gara d'appalto a cui partecipa un'associazione orizzontale, dove X è l'impresa mandataria e Y l'impresa mandante.
Il contesto è chiaro (vedasi anche http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Associazione_temporanea_di_impr... il problema è come tradurre mandataria e mandante.
Butterei lì un lead company (mandataria) e agent company (mandante), ma con poca convinzione sull'agent. Qualcuno sa se esiste una traduzione consolidata in riferimento alle ATI?

The imprese mandanti are the consortium companies, whereas the impresa mandataria is the lead company.
By the way, mandante normally means principal, not agent!

From my point of view, the lead company too could be described as a consortium company, i.e. a company taking part in the consortium. Isn't "consortium company" a little bit ambiguous? |
