French term

satisfaisant

Non-PRO Not for points French to English Medical General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
"...on est revenu probablement en premier intention au XX (name of drug), mais qui n'est pas très satisfaisant, parce que c’était quand-même le XX (name of drug) qui était mieux"

I am certainly not comfortable with satisfactory, nor good, nor efficient, nor either of the opposites. Any thoughts and suggests? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for sharing. About the French: just one of those many challenges we face in the business. you've just got to suck it up and fix it. Lucky us!
Drmanu49 May 10, 2011:

satisfactory

Why don't you like this term?
The French is poor but I am sure that the author of this text is talking about the sitution (reverting to use of drug X as first-line treatment) rather than the drug.
