Puts the cu

English to French Medical Medical (general)
mot clé d'un site sur l'hépatite C et les nouveaux traitements en développement. Pas plus de contexte.

Discussion

SJLD Apr 23, 2011:
Never seen it abbreviated like that in English, always HAV, HBV, HCV or Hep A, B, C.
Drmanu49 Apr 23, 2011:
If there is a comparison between various Hepatitis viruses, CV can compare to AV, BV, etc. no need to repeat Hepatitis every time. So it is plausible and certainly more so than Cu.
SJLD Apr 23, 2011:
"cu" is obviously the beginning of a word that has been cut off.
Maybe "puts the current..." Could be any number of words starting with "cu". The abbreviation for hepatitis C virus is HCV, not CV by the way.

SJLD Apr 22, 2011:
nonsense in English even if Cu means copper, which I doubt.
Ask the client.
François-Xavier Pâque (asker) Apr 22, 2011:
I thought about it too, but it just doesn't seem to make any sense : "Met le cu ???"
FX Fraipont (X) Apr 22, 2011:
Cu as in "copper"?
Copper seems to play a part in hepatitis. Medical expertise anyone?

copper

Est ce que ça pourrait désigner le cuivre (symbole Cu)?
Peer comment(s):

agree Constantinos Faridis (X) : remain as is (cu) without having to be translated because it is an international medical symbol.
