Builders Insurance is a generic term This choice is yours, but "builders insurance" is often understood for insurance purposes to include more than just "builders" (obvious from my links).

What is Builders Insurance?

Builders Insurance is a specifically tailored Tradesman policy that covers the main risks and requirements of working in the construction trade and/or as a contractor or subcontractor.

Depending on your trade or trades (if multi-skilled) and scale of business (turnover and employees) you can select and insure different risks.

When considering the cost of cover and deciding you do really need it, it's worth asking experienced and time served builders and .

Matthew Your first reference actually disproves your point - at the bottom, it has links to all the other trades (such as electricians) for which the company also offers insurance. The second is invalid, probably because of ProZ's habit of truncating links.

"Builders" is an all-encompassing term! What I thought all along, but I just couldn't get it out right LOL.

The word "builder" in liability insurance covers all construction trades.

Artisans du bâtiment would be "construction trades" (eg plumbers and electricians), but I haven't worked out exactly what "risques professionnels" are - is it employer's liability, or professional liability?

building trades employer's liability insurance contract

I'm grateful to Matthew for his first reference showing that "risques professionnels" is "employer's liability", but "artisans de bâtiment"is not just "builders"- it's anyone involved in the building trade, such as electricians and plumbers.

Builders liability insurance

Hello,

Don't let "artisans de bâtiment" confuse. The term used is just "builders" as it refers to all construction trades (builders, plumbers, electricians working on a given site)

The author says nothing about "employer" -- it is an artifact of Mr. Goddard!!
Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : I don't think "artisans" works, and you haven't provided any references.

neutral Mpoma : yes, "artisans" is sometimes a faux ami: very often just means "small business(person)"
