Klausel in einem Arbeitsvertrag. Ich kann vor allem mit "single bout or occurence of an illness" nichts anfangen! Danke! Besagte Klausel:

In diesem Zusammenhang bezieht sich das Wort Krankheit auf eine Einzelerkrankung oder das Auftreten einer einzigen Krankheit; also nicht, dass der Mitarbeiter zunächst z. B. an Grippe erkrankt war und dann später z. B. an einer Magen-Darm-Infektion. Meines Erachtens bedeutet das im praktischen Fall, dass der Mitarbeiter im Falle von direkt aufeinanderfolgenden Krankheiten dann zwei einzelne Bescheinigen vorlegen muss.

I would prefer this term since the definition of Einzelerkrankung is in my view not clear. Einzelerkrankung refers also to a condition when the patient suffers only from one disease no matter whether this disease is chronic or not.
